We were delighted to be host this year’s Feel the Rhythm Gala at the resplendent and award winning Grand Hall, Battersea Arts Centre.
The Gala is a wonderful opportunity to bring together friends and supporters of the LPO – longstanding and new – to celebrate the Orchestra’s achievements of this past season and to look forward to our exciting future. In celebration of our 90th anniversary season, we were delighted to gather in the beautiful surroundings of the Grand Hall, Battersea Arts Centre on Tuesday 9 May for the LPO Feel the Rhythm Gala 2023.
This year’s theme could be felt thought event, with vibrant décor, playful and percussive table names and a performance full of immersive surprises! The evenings programme included a world premier composed and performed by LPO Principal Timpanist Simon Carrington, Britten’s Soirées musicales and an immersive performance, featuring stars from Strictly Come Dancing! Guests enjoyed an imaginative meal from by Zafferano catering with delicious wines from LPO wine partner Jeroboams.
With fundraising at the very heart of the event, we were delighted at the generous response to our 90th Anniversary Appeal which, on the night, garnered incredible support. And, as is customary, we ran a ran Silent Auction, packed full of exciting lots.
We are truly grateful to everyone involved in this marquee event for the LPO. Support prior to, and on the night, will help us to continue our place as a world-leading orchestra
All funds raised from the Gala support the activities of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, on and off the concert platform.
