GCSE Set Work: J.S. Bach – Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, Movement 3

After performing the third movement from J.S. Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in our GCSE BrightSparks concert, we have created this video resource to help you teach, learn about, and revise this set work on the Edexcel syllabus, that is also relevant to OCR.

This video combines a visual of the players performing with detailed annotations describing important musical elements and devices within the piece. Watch the video to listen, follow along with scores in the classroom, and read about the features of the music as you hear them.

This resource was created by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. BrightSparks 2025/26 is generously funded by Rothschild Foundation, Candide Trust, Dunard Fund, Rivers Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, TIOC Foundation, Gill and Julian Simmonds, and Mrs Philip Kan.
