Music can take us to different worlds. For the LPO it’s always an adventure to play with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and tonight he summons up Bloch’s sumptuous vision of a Biblical past and a longed-for future. Principal Conductor Edward Gardner also conducts Elgar’s sparkling In the South and Symphony No. 1.
