Andrew Neill
Andrew worked as a political risk broker in Edinburgh, London and Sydney. In 1998 he formed his own company which he sold in 2017.
He was Chairman of the Elgar Society (1992-2008) and is a trustee of the Elgar Foundation. In 1984 he organised with the LPO a concert commemorating the 50th anniversary of Elgar’s death.
In 2001 he re-formed the Elgar Complete Edition, which is dedicated to the publication of a scholarly edition of Elgar’s music, and he is a trustee and secretary of the Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss. As assistant producer he has been involved in numerous recordings.
He has written numerous articles and CD notes on Elgar, Strauss, Vaughan Williams and their contemporaries and has assisted in leading musical tours on the continent.
