Joseph Maher

Joseph Maher joined the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 1986. After studying with John Mackenzie at Limmerick College of Music, Joseph started his professional career with Dublin's RTÉ Concert Orchestra, or Light Orchestra as it was called at the time.

After a period leading the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, he went to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for two years. Before joining the London Philharmonic, he was with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for ten years.
