Lord Justice, Sir Bernard Rix
Educated at New College Oxford and Harvard Law School, Sir Bernard was called to the Bar in 1970, appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1981, and became Treasurer of the Inner Temple in 2005.
From 1993–2000 he served as a judge of the High Court of Justice and from 2000–13 as a Lord Justice of Appeal. On his recent retirement from the bench, he now practises as an international arbitrator. He is also a Professor of International Commercial Law at Queen Mary, University of London, and a member of the Court of Appeal of the Cayman Islands.
