Michelle Crowe Hernandez
Michelle Crowe Hernandez works at the junction of science, the arts and philanthropic capital, and is founder of Cadencia Advisory. A musician since the age of eight, she still returns to the piano to attempt Chopin Nocturnes every once in a while.
Michelle joined the LPO Board bringing a career that spans Big Four tax consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, major donor fundraising at London Business School, and 14 years of philanthropy advisory practice across science, the performing arts and human rights. She spent four years studying developmental neuroscience at King’s College London, including a funded summer studentship at the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. A supporter of emerging talent in science and the arts, she writes about philanthropy and science at her publication On Capital and Cause.
The highlight of her time with the LPO remains watching Edward Gardner make his Carnegie Hall debut, and the encore of Elgar’s ‘Nimrod’ to a full house in New York.
