Steven M. Berzin
Steven M. Berzin is a private investor. He served as Executive Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation and Executive Director of the New York City Industrial Development Agency during Bloomberg’s administration.
Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer of W.P. Carey & Co., a real estate investment company, and in executive positions in General Electric Company’s financial service division. Prior to his business career, Mr. Berzin was associated with the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine and Moore and served as a law clerk to the Hon. Anthony M. Kennedy, then a United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit, now a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He holds BA s and MAs in Applied Mathematics and Jurisprudence from Harvard and Oxford Universities respectively and a JD from Harvard Law School.
Steven is a member of the Board of Overseers of Boston Children’s Hospital and of the Research Committee of its Board of Trustees. He also is a Director of Humanities New York and a member of the Advisory Cabinet of the Dean of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
