Nigel Boardman

Nigel Boardman was appointed Vice-Chair of the London Philharmonic Orchestra's Board of Directors in February 2024.

Nigel was a partner then senior consultant at Slaughter and May for 50 years until he retired in 2023. He received several accolades in his professional career including The Financial Times’ Special Achievement Award and the Lawyer of the Decade Award from Financial News.

Nigel chairs the charity Help for Heroes, is chair designate for the medical charity The Medical College of Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital Trust, and serves on the audit committee of the British Museum, having previously been a trustee and deputy chair. He is the chair of Arbuthnot Latham bank; senior independent director of Aston Martin Lagonda; chair of HSM, a human resource consultancy; and a member of the supervisory board of an Irish group including the Blackrock Hospital Group and Anglo Beef Processors.
