Principal Harp

Rosanna was appointed Principal Harp of the London Philharmonic Orchestra in October 2026.

Winner of the Suoni d’Arpa International Harp Competition 2014, Rosanna made her London solo debut at the Royal Festival Hall at the age of 20. Highlights of her solo engagements include performances at Wigmore Hall, the Three Choirs Festival and St Martin-in-the-Fields. A frequent guest at music festivals throughout the UK, her solo and chamber recitals have also taken her to Italy, Belgium, Romania, Hungary, Italy and Turkey. Her debut CD was released in 2022 under the Italian label, Tactus.

Rosanna studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Marisa Robles, Ieuan Jones and Daphne Boden, before continuing her studies with Ágnes Polónyi at the Budapest Festival Orchestra Academy. As Principal Harpist of the European Union Youth Orchestra, she toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at the major festivals.

Since 2017 she has regularly appeared with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, performing at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw, and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. She also appears as Guest Principal Harpist with the London Mozart Players, Royal Opera House, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Aarhus Symfoniorkester in Denmark and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.

Rosanna plays a Lyon and Healy harp built in 1964. When not behind the harp, Rosanna enjoys sketching, country walks, and helping out on her brother’s farm.
