Inspire your students with a live concert experience
This concert is now sold out.
Stan and Mabel, a city-dwelling dog and cat, love listening to their downstairs neighbour practising her musical instruments. When she disappears to judge a competition to find the Greatest Orchestra in the World, there’s only one thing for it – they’re going to have to get a band together to audition! But who will join their orchestra?
Join the London Philharmonic Orchestra for our Key Stage 1 BrightSparks concert to find out, as we tell the story of Stan and Mabel, based on the book by Jason Chapman and with music by Paul Rissmann. Presenter Polly Ives and conductor Luis Castillo-Briceño join forces with the LPO to present the story of these music-loving pets. With fun songs to sing with the Orchestra, plenty of audience interaction and other orchestral treats along the way, this is sure to be an unforgettable first concert experience for Key Stage 1 children.
A free resource pack, including the audience participation songs, will be available to all bookers in advance of the concert. Teachers who book tickets are also invited to attend a free INSET session at the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 18th January 2024 (must be booked in advance).
Tickets to the concert are £3 per pupil and free for accompanying adults.
