Key Stage 2 BrightSparks – London
These concerts are now sold out, and applications are closed.
Join the London Philharmonic Orchestra as we take a musical trip to the USA! From 19th century Pennsylvania to a voyage across the Atlantic, we will encounter new stories, characters, and musical motifs, as well as some familiar folk favourites.
In this Key Stage 2 BrightSparks concert on Wed 8 May, the LPO, conducted by Charlotte Politi, will perform the celebrated classic Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland, and an array of American and America-inspired music by Copland, Errollyn Wallen and Joan Tower. Presenter Rachel Leach will guide us through the fabulous music, and with a fun song to sing with the Orchestra and plenty of audience interaction throughout, this is sure to be an unforgettable concert experience for Key Stage 2 children.
This year, as well as performing at the Royal Festival Hall, we are bringing our Key Stage 2 BrightSparks concert to the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne! Please note that each school can only apply for one performance.
A free resource pack, including the audience participation songs, is available to all bookers in advance of the concert. Teachers who book tickets for one of our London concerts are also invited to attend a free INSET session at the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 14 March (must be booked in advance).
Tickets to the concert are £3 per pupil and free for accompanying adults.
