Renée Fleming returns. Don't miss the chance to hear one of the supreme voices of our time.
‘Unforgettable’ was how one critic described Renée Fleming’s 2022 performance with the LPO, and there’s no getting away from it: Fleming’s rich, radiant soprano is one of the supreme voices of the century. The LPO is proud to count her as a friend, and tonight, along with the distinguished American baritone Lucas Meachem, she’s bringing a story of love, art and the meeting of souls by the Pulitzer-winning Kevin Puts. Inspired by the letters of artist Georgia O’Keeffe and photographer Alfred Stieglitz, and conducted by Tianyi Lu, it’s a heart-rending upbeat to another great letter from the New World – Dvořák’s evergreen Ninth Symphony.
