Irina Gofman

Irina Gofman holds an established career within media and broadcasting, and is recognised for expertise in traditional and new media across international markets.

Appointed President and CEO of Viasat World in 2016, Irina has spearheaded the rapid growth of this leading international media company.

Prior to this she worked for MTG AB, International Media and Broadcasting Group, as Executive Vice President of the Group’s Russian & CIS broadcasting operations and Pay TV Emerging Markets, and as CEO of MTG Russia & CIS. Irina was also CEO of Rambler Media Group, a leading Russian internet media and services group, between 2004 and 2007, taking it public in 2005.

Irina has held a number of executive and board positions within the broadcasting, digital and publishing industries, and has worked with private equity funds as a partner and advisor. In addition, Irina is an active investor in several digital media startups, and a passionate supporter of performing arts and education projects and organisations. She is a Founding Trustee of Reach for Change Russia, a social entrepreneurship foundation which helps noncommercial initiatives to improve the life of children and young people.
