Nicholas Snowman OBE

Nicholas Snowman OBE co-founded two celebrated contemporary music ensembles: the London Sinfonietta and the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris. He was the first Artistic Director of IRCAM, the music department of the Pompidou Centre, Artistic Director and then Chief Executive of the Southbank Centre, and general director of two opera companies: Glyndebourne and l’Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg.

At present he is Chairman of jewellers Wartski, trustee of the Victoria & Albert Foundation and of the New Berlioz Edition, and honorary trustee of the Royal Academy of Music. Previously he was a trustee of the Aurora and Monteverdi Chorus & Orchestras, the Cultural Olympiad and the development board of Hampstead Theatre, and the music committee of the Venice Biennale.
