Roger Barron

Roger Barron has been Chair of the LPO Advisory Council since 2023.

Roger had a professional career for over 30 years as an M&A and Corporate lawyer, including as a partner of international law firm Linklaters (working in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Moscow) and as Vice Chair Global M&A of US firm Paul Hastings. He now provides consultancy services and acts as a senior adviser to a variety of businesses including law, recruitment and private equity.

Roger was a choral scholar at New College, Oxford, where he also read Jurisprudence, and is a former violinist. Combining his love for music and the skills he acquired through his legal career, Roger became a director and trustee of the London Music Fund in 2011. Since then, he has served on various committees at the Royal Opera House and became a director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 2016, before joining the Advisory Council and becoming Chair in 2023.
