BrightSparks – Key Stage 1

The Colour Monster is all mixed up and very confused, and he doesn’t know why. In fact, he’s all over the place! Join the LPO to help untangle the Colour Monster’s messy emotions through the wonder of orchestral music.

Inspired by the gorgeous book by Anna Llenas, published by Templar Books, this interactive concert will explore music that is sad, happy, angry, calm and more.

The concert will be presented by Lucy Hollins and conducted by Rebecca Tong. With a brand new song to learn and plenty of audience interaction along the way, this will be an unforgettable first concert experience for Key Stage 1 children.

Free INSET sessions will take place on Thursday 19 January 2023 (1.30-3.30pm in person at Royal Festival Hall or 4.00-5.30pm on Zoom) for teachers who book for the concert, offering ways into the music, classroom activities, and tips on the audience participation song (must be booked in advance).

Tickets to the concert are £3 per child, free for accompanying adults, and include resources for teachers.
